He Is Here

While they were still talking about this, Jesus Himself stood in the midst of them, and said to them, "Peace to you." - Luke 24: 36

Also Read Mathew 28:20;John 20:19

Surprise! Surprise! The eleven apostles had gathered together on this day of Jesus resurrection. They were discussing the strange happenings of the past few days and had just listened to a report from the two men who said they had seen Jesus. Suddenly He was there! Then the Savior said, "Peace to you."

I wonder if we realize when we meet together, at church, in our home, prayer meetings etc – that Jesus is also there, He said, "Lo, I am with you always even to the end of the age." (Mathew 28:20). Do we really believe He is with us and listens to every word we say and that He sees all we do.?

Dear friends, as we know its Easter and we remember this day as the Savior rose from the dead. He is here to give joy and salvation to all. Mary who was the first to discover the empty tomb and understand Christ has risen and saw Him, responded with joy and obedience by going and telling the disciples. We cannot meet Christ until we discover that he is indeed alive, that his tomb is empty. Are you filled with joy by this good news and will you share it with others of this wonderful resurrection?

"Although we cannot see the Lord,
We know that His tomb is empty
He is here, His promise is dependable;
And He always will be near."
