Sweet Company

"the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you" - John 14:17

Also Read 1 John 4:6;John 8:47;John 14:23

One day I happened to visit the old age home where I found an elderly woman who spoke to no one and never requested for anything. It seemed she merely existed, rocking in her creaky old bed. She did not have any visitors, so I happened to visit her frequently. Without asking the woman questions to try to get her talk, I simply sat beside her bed and rocked with her. After several months the old woman said to me, “Thank you for rocking with me.” She was grateful for the companionship.

The Lord Jesus Christ promised His disciples that He will not leave them alone but would send the Holy Spirit to be in them (John 14:17 ) That promise is still true for us who are in Jesus today. The Triune God makes (dwells) His 'Home' in us (John 14:23).

Dear friends, He is the close and faithful companion throughout our entire life. So if we have rejected Him to this day, lets not delay but take this time to make Him dwell in us and allow His 'Home' within us.

"In my deepest nights,
He is the guiding star
In my sinfulness
He is the forgiving heart"
